Meerkat is an iPhone app for nearby cultural posts and lightweight reactions. The app uses approximate location to sort nearby content, not to share exact pins or addresses.

Data We Collect

• Account profile data such as username, display name, profile photo, invite code, and broad home or nearby context.
• User content such as posts, uploaded photos, voice memo audio, comments, reactions, motive badges, follows, blocks, reports, and notification preferences.
• Approximate location or nearby-region data used to sort content and set broad context. The app does not share exact addresses or exact pins in the main loop.
• Device push tokens when a user enables notifications.
• Diagnostics and product interaction events used to keep the service reliable and measure response-rate product health.

How We Use Data

We use this data to operate the app, show visible posts to eligible viewers, save reactions, deliver notifications, moderate safety reports, provide support, and understand app reliability.

Sharing

Posts, comments, profile information, and reactions are shown according to the app's product visibility rules. We do not sell personal data or use it for cross-app tracking.

Retention And Deletion

Users can delete their account in the app. Account deletion removes the account and associated content from the live service subject to backup and legal retention requirements.
